The Heart of Texas district was composed when the new area realignment forced the shuffle of many districts and areas to create 2 new areas in the Texas FFA association. It was voted on and approved by Texas FFA members in 2016 and the new Heart of Texas FFA District, formally known as the Waco FFA district will be active beginning on the 2018-2019 membership year.
